Wohnmobil Auflasten mit Dunlop Luftfederung im AL-KO Chassis und Umrüstung auf 18“ Reifen
I'm upgrading my motorhome's gross vehicle weight to 4.8 tons. For this, I've installed an additional air suspension system from Dunlop, which increases the maximum axle load on the rear axle from 2400 kg to 2700 kg. In addition, I need rims and tires with a load capacity of 1350 kg each. The air suspension system is from Dunlop. Type: L.AL.07(HD) The rims are from Ramto. Type: VAN#01 – The 18-inch aluminum wheel for motorhomes (TF-18R) And the corresponding tires are from Continental. Type: VC55 = All-season Conti VanContactCamper 255/55 R18CP Dunlop contact information: https://dscsystems.nl/de/ Email: [email protected] I spoke with Mr. Marco Muller, Managing Director, DSC Nederland B.V. When upgrading to 18-inch tires, wheel arch extensions may be necessary, as the wider tires must not protrude beyond the vehicle's exterior. In many cases, the wider tires will also prevent the use of snow chains. This must be checked on a case-by-case basis. Here's some more information about the air suspension: Because we are international, this is in English. • AirRide for AL-KO chassis Motorhome by Dunlop I would recommend checking with the TÜV (German Technical Inspection Association) beforehand whether the increased load capacity is also possible on other vehicles with this air suspension, as was the case with mine. Also, check exactly what documentation is required. For legal reasons, I have pixelated some details in the video. Unfortunately, this also includes myself at the beginning of the video.
