The British featuring Benjamin Zephaniah - BBC Poetry Season 2009
Nine teenagers cast from colleges in Peterborough bring the poem about diversity in Britain to life around a dinner table, in a challenging one-shot piece! Benjamin Zephaniah features delivering the 'note' and 'warning' at the end. This was a project I was involved with, produced for the BBC's Poetry Season in 2009. The aim of the season is to bring poetry to a younger audience, making it viewed in a fresh, accessible way. Recorded at Amici's Restaurant in Spalding, UK. Made by SquareZero Director: Najma Bhatti Producer: Vicky Godfrey DOP: Ed Mash Editor: Richard lester Colourist: Jonson Jewell Music and Sound design: 3Way music
