In today's video: 🇦🇷 Today the Recipe Cup lands in Argentina! Besides being a three-time world football champion, Argentina is also famous for its cuisine. And one of the country's most traditional recipes is the delicious Argentinian empanadas: a buttery, crispy dough filled with seasoned meat. Will they climb in our ranking? Leave your rating in the comments! ????????? — 🥟 Argentinian Empanada Recipe Dough 3 cups all-purpose flour 100g cold butter 1 egg 1 teaspoon salt ½ cup warm water Filling 500g ground beef 1 large chopped onion 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon cumin Salt and pepper to taste Chopped green olives (to taste) Preparation 1. Mix the flour with the salt. 2. Add the butter and mix until it forms a crumbly mixture. 3. Add the egg and, little by little, the warm water, until a smooth dough forms. 4. Cover and let it rest for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile: 1. Sauté the onion until translucent. 2. Add the ground meat and cook until browned. 3. Season with paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. 4. Mix in the chopped olives and let the filling cool. Assembly: 1. Roll out the dough and cut out discs. 2. Place a portion of the filling in the center. 3. Fold over to form a half-moon shape and press the edges with a fork or do the traditional purling. 4. Brush with egg yolk (optional). 5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
