This afternoon we're exploring one of Bali's favourite beach destinations, especially for Australian travellers. With clear skies, warm sunshine and a beautiful sunset on the way, it's the perfect day to experience the laid-back atmosphere that makes Legian so popular. Our walk begins along Legian Beach, where we follow the coastline towards the famous entrance near Padma Street. Along the beach you'll see plenty of visitors unwinding at beachfront bars, relaxing in deck chairs, enjoying a massage, or simply taking a leisurely stroll along the sand. It's easy to see why this stretch of coastline has remained a favourite holiday spot for generations of Aussie visitors. From the beach, we continue along Padma Street, one of Legian's busiest tourist streets. At the intersection near Makan Restaurant and Posers Pub, we turn left into Padma Utara Street, home to popular venues like Y-Bar, where many visitors gather to enjoy a cold drink while watching live sport. After exploring the northern end of Padma, we head back before continuing south into Sahadewa Street, better known as Garlic Lane. This legendary little street is packed with restaurants, bars, local shops and souvenir stalls, making it one of the most popular places to wander in Legian. Our journey then takes us to Melasti Street, where we walk around the area near The Magani Hotel before making our way back towards Legian Beach Road. Finally, we return to the beach just in time to enjoy another stunning Bali sunset, capturing the relaxed holiday atmosphere and the happy faces of visitors making the most of their afternoon by the ocean.
