TALK TALK e il disco che la EMI non poteva vendere

🎙️ After the success of The Colour of Spring, EMI gave Talk Talk the time, money, and freedom to make another marketable album. Mark Hollis used that freedom to create Spirit of Eden: an album without easy singles, built on improvisation, silence, and tension. In this video, we reconstruct the dark sessions, the attempt to turn "I Believe in You" into a single, the clash with the record company, and the subsequent reevaluation of an album that anticipated part of the language later associated with post-rock. 💛 SUPPORT THE PROJECT Buy me a coffee and help the podcast grow → https://buymeacoffee.com/paroleesuoni... 🎧 LISTEN TO THE AUDIO VERSION Spotify → https://open.spotify.com/show/2bXQNfo... 📲 FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA Facebook →   / paroleesuonipodcast   Instagram →   / paroleesuonipodcast   #TalkTalk #SpiritOfEden #MarkHollis #PostRock #StoriaDellaMusica #PodcastCulturale #StorytellingMusicale 🎵 Original music: "Dolce Italia" by Pierpaolo Scuro →    • Pierpaolo Scuro - Dolce Italia (Video in s...   📩 For information and job offers: [email protected] ⏰ CHAPTERS: 00:00 – Talk Talk's commercial nightmare 01:08 – Unlimited budget and closed studio doors 02:45 – From pop success to The Colour of Spring 04:09 – The surreal recording sessions in the dark 05:45 – The Rainbow and Eden: the aesthetics of silence 07:25 – The explosion of Desire and the beginning of Side B 08:38 – I Believe in You: the fragile heart of the album 10:01 – The mutilated single and the clash with EMI 11:34 – Critical reactions and the lawsuit 12:34 – Mark Hollis' retirement and the legacy Post-Rock 3:09 PM – Final Thoughts and Farewells 📝 LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This video is an original work of commentary, critical analysis, dissemination, and contextualization.
