Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles filming locations in New York City! The Original!

The ORIGINAL Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie EXPLODED onto the screen in 1990 and for us 80's/90s kids, it was one of, if not THE Greatest movie of ALL TIME! Turtle Power was all the rage as these original Heroes in a Half Shell came to life via the Jim Henson creature shop! Now I had known the movie was filmed primarily in North Carolina on massive New York backlot sets, but while wandering in the city last year I found out to my surprise and pleasure that the original NINJA TURTLES DID do some filming in the Big Apple! 🍎 Just enough to spend a day hunting down as many TMNT I locations as we can, and a few BONUS locations from Part II; SECRET OF THE OOZE! We should note there are a few more establishing shots and some shots of the Foot Lair supposedly on Roosevelt Island, we didn't have time to track down.
