N gauge is one of the smallest when it comes to model railroading. Build the Steampunk layout and experience model railroading! But Z gauge should also be mentioned here. We'll be building that here too. Model railroading in Z gauge. Take a look around my channel. You're very welcome. The name of the layout: Steampunk OR Dieselpunk? - What's it all about? First of all, it's just a name! It doesn't mean I'm going to reinvent model railroading! When choosing certain items, you're limited to what the manufacturers offer. I'll try to avoid kits as much as possible and build everything myself, adapting it to my layout and its purpose. We'll see if it all works out as I envision! I mentioned/addressed the question about "Steampunk/Dieselpunk" in the first video. The layout is intended to embrace the "Steampunk/Dieselpunk" theme—as if it still existed. Just a more developed version. It's a bit difficult to put into words. The "Steampunk/Dieselpunk" focus doesn't necessarily mean that only steam locomotives will be running and that's it... No, it's meant to describe the theme. And well, when choosing locomotives and wagons, you're initially limited to what's available. But I plan to do something with that. The locomotives and rolling stock will be visually modified. Dirt and grime from the steampunk and dieselpunk era, mechanical elements on the layout... Well, we'll see. The whole thing will evolve as the layout is built. The basic idea is there, and now we're getting started. BUT: this will take time, of course. I'm still at the beginning, and there's a lot planned. -------------------- A layout that's meant to be out of the ordinary. Not a picture-perfect mountain village or a Harz Mountains layout...
