Thirty-eight illegal stalls, built on land owned by the Surabaya City Government, were demolished using heavy equipment. The demolition proceeded peacefully and without resistance, as public awareness campaigns and warnings to residents had been in place since 2024. After the demolition, the land will be landscaped and used as a paid parking area to support the area's development.
