Visual changes for the Sport Edition package are inspired by Frontier's popular PRO-X and PRO-4X grades, starting with a black lower front fascia, grille and mirrors, complemented by "Sport" bedside and tailgate badge. The PRO-4X R package offers enhanced capability for off-road use, with more aggressive 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme all-terrain tires equipped on 17-inch off-road wheels, a leather-wrapped shift knob and titanium-finished accents for the truck's grille inserts and skid plate. It starts with a direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 engine, built in the U.S. and rigorously tested for confident performance. Frontier's V6 engine is rated for 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. The 2027 Nissan Frontier PRO-X (4x2 only) and PRO-4X simplify off-roading with Bilstein suspension components, black 17-inch wheels with Lava Red lettering, all-terrain tires and an electric locking rear differential (PRO-4X only).
