Die Schule Heiden – eine Schule für Alle

Every school has the mandate to provide the best possible support for all students living within its catchment area. This may sound almost trivial, but it is anything but. Effective school development can only be achieved with strong pedagogical leadership and a motivated team. The Heiden school offers us a glimpse into its journey toward becoming a school for all. The video presents two of its numerous initiatives. First, we gain insight into the inclusive primary level, where children aged four to eight are taught in mixed-age groups. Then, a case study illustrates how a student with Down syndrome can flexibly switch between the primary and secondary levels during the week to learn and participate in different settings.
