This isn't a pilot project. Industrial agriculture in Africa just went electric! For decades, heavy industrial logistics have been bound to diesel-powered transport. But as we approach #worldenvironmentday , at 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, part of the ‪@BrownsPlantationsinKE‬ , we are breaking that cycle. What’s happening on the ground right now: ✔️ 15 fully electric 6.5T Foton trucks are already in active operation, eliminating heavy diesel use across our tea estates and factories. ✔️ These trucks run alongside our innovative Aerial Ropeway Conveyance System, cleanly moving harvested green leaf across our estates and keeping heavy lorries off internal roads. ✔️ This entire green mobility ecosystem is fuelled by our very own hydro and solar generation, combined with Kenya’s highly renewable national grid.
