A prominent centerpiece of Colonial Williamsburg, The Governor’s Palace has deep historical significance to the early Colonial era and post-Colonial time period. The palace was home to seven royal governors as well as Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson who served as governors of Williamsburg Virginia in the post-Colonial years. We take a fully guided tour of the first floor of the palace, and then explore the entire palace garden area on our own and bring you along to see everything we saw. The palace garden incorporates amazing and intricate garden areas and landscaping as well as a fun and challenging palace garden maze. We take our chances entering into the maze but quickly discover finding our way back out of it could be deemed a navigational challenge of sorts for us.
