Katarina Kelly— “ScheiBe” (Lady Gaga cover)

Ever since I was little I loved to dance to this song but as I’ve gotten older I’ve learned to love it for much more than that. So often we hear feminist anthems by pop singers that flaunt an already perfected and polished infallible persona. While I think those songs are incredibly necessary and perfect for having a good dance party to, I fell in love all over again with this song because it tells the story of a woman struggling to be “strong without permission.” That story is much more honest to me and resonates in a way that feels very relevant at the moment :/ I kinda stripped the song down from its dance pop version to highlight the powerful lyrics that are easy to overlook when you’re getting! down! to the original version in your bedroom. hope you enjoy❣️
