Tracking Chuckwallas in the Midriff Islands of the Sea of Cortez | Sailing New Life
With our young son Nico, we cruise and explore the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, and the islands of the Pacific on our live-aboard sailing boat. As our family sailing adventures lead us through the Midriff Islands in the Sea of Cortez, we run aground and then end up in dangerous tidal currents. Well off the beaten track, we only meet fishermen far from home who generously share fish with us. Then we try to track down a San Esteban Chuckwalla, a rare species of giant lizard. Finally, we return to the gulf's biggest colony of sea lions.
