20250801 Pragati Maheshwary UDYAMPATH modeling game KCs to encourage entrepreneurship OGD OOH

Welcome to Open Game Data office hours! In this session, recorded on 1 September 2025, we are joined by Pragati Maheshwary, a recent graduate of the Carnegie Mellon Educational Technology and Applied Learning Masters program, who provides a walkthrough of her capstone project to develop UDAYMPATH, a game-based approach to encouraging entrepreneurship in high school students in rural India. She describes the knowledge component (KC) approach, use of AI to support in-game conversation, and measurement of outcomes. The Open Game Data Community is an NSF-funded research incubator focused on advancing the use of game-generated data to better understand learning, thinking, engagement, and decision-making. Open Office Hours sessions provide a public space where researchers, developers, and educators share works in progress, discuss emerging ideas, and receive feedback from the community. These sessions are designed to showcase research and make expert reasoning and inquiry visible to others in the field.
