3 metered MOT's parrallel -- CFL burn outs

This was supposed to be video No: 500, but is now 501. Three unballasted MOT's are set up in parrallel. and the LV (240 V) and HV (2100 V) sides of the MOT's are metered with Volt and Ammeters. It can be clearly seen that the HV Voltage drops sharply as the arcing or overload drags the voltage down of the MOT's. The current from the shorted HV windings varies between 3 and 4 Amps. The 240 Volts side draws up to 50 Amps from the 20 Amp MCB for about 6 to 10 seconds before tripping. The ammeter on the panel goes to over 30 Amps max. but on my relay control module reads up to 50 Amps. These are dangerous experiments as mains and high voltages are present and should not be done by inexperienced people. I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (   / editor  )
