Cómo preparar un FLAT WHITE en CASA sin máquina. Café de especialidad
If you love this Australian drink as much as we do, stick around! In this video, we'll teach you how to make a delicious flat white at home without an espresso machine! Bonus: some tips for creating amazing latte art. What you'll need: · Aeropress or Italian Coffee Maker (Moka Pot) · French Press · Kitchen Scale · Thermometer · Microwave · Latte Art Pitcher (milk pitcher) · 1/2 liter of filtered water · Specialty coffee · Milk (whole, skim, lactose-free, or plant-based milks! All of them froth well) Step 1 To prepare our espresso, we'll use the Aeropress in the upside-down method. To begin, warm the cup you'll be using for your flat white and grind 18 grams of coffee to a fine espresso grind. Step 2 Rinse the Aeropress filter with a little hot water. Next, add the ground coffee and slowly pour in 60 ml/grams of 92-degree water over about 10 seconds. Then, take a spoon (or the Aeropress whisk) and stir for about 15 seconds. Step 3 Place the lid with the filter, turn the Aeropress upside down over the cup, and press the plunger firmly and as quickly as you can. Your espresso is ready! Step 4 Heat a little more than half a cup of milk on the stovetop or in the microwave until it reaches 65 degrees Celsius. You can measure it with a thermometer, being careful not to overheat it, as above 70 degrees it will lose its sweetness and develop an unpleasant, bitter taste that will affect the coffee, and you won't be able to create good latte art. While it's heating, add hot water to the French press and the warming carafe. Step 5 Pour the milk into the French press and move the plunger up and down until it reaches 50% of its initial volume. Once ready, transfer the milk to the pitcher. Step 6 Give the pitcher a twist and tap it if necessary to break any large bubbles and blend the foam with the liquid, until you have a creamy, smooth, and glossy texture, like liquid paint. Step 7 For the latte art, we're going to make a heart. Start pouring from the top of the cup towards the center. This way, the milk falls below the coffee, and the coffee rises to the surface. Pour from the top until the coffee is 3/4 full. Move closer, watching the foam that forms on the surface, and stay in place to allow the foam to develop. Then, lift the pitcher again and move forward to cut the foam and form the point of the heart. There you have it, a delicious homemade flat white without an espresso machine. Enjoy!
