The ACR variant which stands for American Club Racer, exists so that Viper enthusiasts can compete with a factory prepped car at the road course. With its monster V10 engine, track-focused suspension and extreme aero package the ACR is a purpose-built machine to dominate road courses. The Dodge Viper ACR is so well sorted that it set Nurburgring lap time at 7:01.3 around the legendary circuit, a new all-time record for American, rear-drive, and manual-transmission car. Powering this track weapon is an 8.4L V10 sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Factory-rated output was 645 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 600 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm when new. Magazine road tests recorded zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, zero to 100 mph in 7.5 seconds, and an 11.5-second quarter-mile.
