The highlight of the day, however, was a visit to The Milk Shed in Ipplepen. I had recently read that some dairy farmers are being paid less for their milk than it costs them to produce it, which feels incredibly unfair. While I can't solve the wider issues facing farming, it did make me think about what small changes I could make myself. I started looking for a local dairy that sells directly to customers and discovered The Milk Shed. We popped along to see what it was all about and came away with some delicious fresh milk and an equally delicious milkshake. It felt good to know that more of the money was going directly to the people producing the milk. Afterwards, we headed over to Paignton for a walk. The weather was lovely, and it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon, enjoying the fresh air and reflecting on how sometimes small choices can make a difference.
