Challenging the gender stereotype
Too many girls drop out of sport. It’s time to understand and change that. Daisy Collingridge and Matilda Nicholls know what it’s like to navigate a world full of stereotypes. They’ve seen how too many young girls feel like sport isn’t for them – and they’re here to rewrite that story. As athletes, they’ve realised they have a voice – a powerful one - and they’re using it to challenge the norms, showing that sailing and being on the water is for everyone. Through their stories, they’re sparking a bigger conversation. Because if we can change the narrative, we can change the future—for girls, for women, for sport. Let’s hear their voices. And yours. Matilda and Daisy are ambassadors for the @RYA1875's Reflections on Water campaign, uniting the UK's blue spaces. #ReflectionsOnWater
