FORGOTTEN Money Rules Every 1950's Man Followed

In the 1950s, an ordinary man could raise a whole family on a single paycheck, own his house outright, and retire owing no one a dime. This video follows Jerry, a one-paycheck factory man outside Flint, Michigan, through the 20 forgotten money rules that made it possible: the two-and-a-half-times-income rule for buying a house, banking every raise instead of spending it, paying cash or waiting, keeping one car for fifteen years, and aiming the whole of it at the day the mortgage was burned. It is also honest about what actually changed. Part of it was discipline, and most of these rules still work today. Part of it was a genuinely different economy, one where a house cost a fraction of what it costs a family now. We cover both, the rules a man can still use and the math that has turned against him, and what is still in his power to do about it.
