The Fastest Matrix - 20 Year Old Toyota Hot Hatch Still Be Fun in 2025? Old Car Review
Not only is it good on fuel and amazingly reliable, this 20+ year old hatchback is fast, even in 2025! Let's take an in-depth look at a very cool old hot hatch from 2004 in Cosmic Blue Metallic. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 200HP 1.8L engine that redlines at 8,300 RPM, awesome suspension and a little bit of rust 🤠. The 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS is a fun and well equipped little beast. These fully loaded commuters can be bought cheap in 2025 and are worth every penny! These lightweight little rocket ships are equipped with the 1.8L Toyota 2ZZ engine. This engine, with its VVTL-i variable valve timing system was chosen for its high-RPM power and was sometimes paired with a supercharger for significantly increased horsepower.
