Weekly Waveform 16 - How to check oil pressure with a pressure transducer

This week you will need a pressure transducer to complete the test. WPS500x, Snap-on, ATS or DIY setup. If you have the chance to add another channel add a sync channel so RPM can be measured. I have several different oil pressure adaptors I use for this test but most of the adaptors have Foster quick disconnects attached so I can interchange all of my pressure testing gear. Most vehicles will have two specs listed. One is going to be the oil pressure at idle and the other will be oil pressure at a specific RPM. Most vehicles will be tested when warm but some will have a specific oil temp for testing.
