Samvidhan Hatya Diwas 2026. Honouring the Defenders of Democracy.

Joined the observance of “Samvidhan Hatya Diwas at Thambal Shanglen, Nityaipat Chuthek, commemorating the imposition of the Nationwide Emergency in June 1975—an unfortunate chapter in the history of Indian democracy. In the presence of Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Govindas Konthoujam, Hon’ble BJP MLAs, and dedicated Karyakartas, floral tributes were paid to the courageous leaders and citizens who made immense sacrifices to uphold the Constitution, protect democratic values, and defend the fundamental rights of the people. Karyakartas were also felicitated in recognition of their steadfast commitment to these ideals. As we honour the resilience and sacrifice of those who stood against authoritarianism, let us reaffirm our collective commitment to preserving the Constitution, strengthening democratic institutions, and safeguarding the values that define our Republic.
