Severe storms are automatically associated with the United States. And for a good reason. That country is home to the most powerful storms and unique atmospheres on Earth. While no other nation can truly rival the USA in terms of sheer storm intensity, there are times when other places come incredibly close... close enough to make you feel like you’re actually there! It turns out we are sometimes spoiled here in France, too. Our country holds its own against the Great Plains on the other side of the Atlantic. We are lucky... I’m from the Picardie in northern France, a place that occasionally puts on a spectacular show. This flat terrain, exposed year-round to weather systems rolling in from the Atlantic, can produce extraordinary storms... and I’ve been lucky enough to witness several of them over the past few years!
