Violence struck again across the country this Thursday with a series of incidents that left several dead and put authorities on high alert. In northern Yoro, specifically in areas affected by the rise in crime, the murder of pastor and coffee farmer Óscar Núñez was reported, an event that has generated consternation in the community. Meanwhile, in the department of Colón, a couple identified as Saúl López and Dixy Maribel Benítez were murdered while they slept. Police authorities confirmed the arrest of at least two suspects after a confrontation, as well as the seizure of high-caliber weapons, while the search continues for others involved in the crime. Also, in Santa Bárbara, another violent incident occurred where an 18-year-old woman lost her life after an armed attack from a motorcycle.
