Like most manufacturers of modern assault rifles, Daniel Defense has chosen a modular design that can be adapted to various combat missions. The rifle was developed based on the AR system, which is already well known to Ukrainian soldiers; this makes it easier to use and maintain. To test the Daniel Defense assault rifle, Lieutenant Sergey Lipko visited Special Operations Forces training center, where he conducted training shootings with an instructor with the call sign Delta. In addition, Delta showed his personal weapon - a Heckler & Koch gun.
