Journey onboard 158768 as the 2M15 0945 Westbury to Swindon via Melksham calling at Trowbridge, Melksham, Chippenham and Swindon. When I did this route back in March 2026, it was diverted due to a vehicle on the track near Melksham. Also no approaching announcements were played on both the outbound and return journeys back then. I've always wondered why the Trans-Wilts line (the one through Melksham) is 1tp2h (9tpd) rather than 1tph, as it only takes 20 mins to travel between Trowbridge and Chippenham in each direction, despite the single track.
