Still soaking it all in… My first Molokai Solo is in the books. The energy of this race, this channel, this community—there’s nothing like it. Conditions were solid: 5-foot seas and 25mph winds pushing us across one of the most powerful stretches of ocean in the world. I had a decent start, found my rhythm mid-channel, and was feeling strong…until I had to start surfing down with the waves, I then had a hard time catching the bigger swells. Every push became a battle. And those last two miles—wow. I knew they’d be tough, but a 25mph headwind straight in the face? That was another level. Brutal, humbling, unforgettable. But I made it. And seeing everyone waiting at the finish, with hugs, cheers, and flower lei—that made all the pain worth it. I’m beyond grateful. Thank you for believing in me, supporting me, and showing up.
