Although all hits are noteworthy, the collection carries his first-ever international six that he hit during the 1992 World Cup match against Zimbabwe when Sri Lanka successfully chased down the highest ever total at the time. Furthermore, this includes sixes from his maiden ODI ton against New Zealand in Bloemfontein in 1994. Sanath Jayasuriya pulled a Shoaib Akhtar express delivery over fine-leg for a six on his way to 253 against Pakistan in Faisalabad in 2004.
