The shamisen is an instrument that is difficult to tune yourself, so much so that it is said that it takes three years to master the right tuning. Even those who practice regularly probably have trouble tuning properly. Therefore, this video is designed so that you can tune to the "honcho" (true tuning) by tuning according to the notes in the video. The honcho (true tuning) is set to a pitch of "4 strings." My gohoshu videos are also mostly played using "4 strings," so you should be able to practice along with me, so please feel free to use them.
