Ushiro ryote-dori kotegaeshi - 後ろ両手取り小手返し - Aikido Virtual Dojo

In this video we present the technique Ushiro ryote-dori kotegaeshi. We explain the principal movements and show potential mistakes in a funny way at the end. We're looking at another attack from behind, with uke grabbing both wrists of nage. We explain how to escape this attack and apply the technique kotegaeshi, which is a reversal applied through the wrist (and ideally not on the wrist). Kotegaeshi is probably the most popular technique in Aikido and it can be used to practice lots of elements of this martisal art. We can finish this technique with uke descending gently to the ground and being immobilized, or with a projection into a high fall.
