Rath Yatra or Rath Dvitiya is one of the major Hindu festivals held in the month of Ashadha. This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Indian states of Odisha and West Bengal. This festival is organized to commemorate the return of Krishna to Vrindavan after a long separation. Sri Ramakrishna used to say that people are educated in the chariot fair.
