Jesus Said, "Worship Allah!" "Jesus and the Father Are One Explained"

Many people quote John 10:30 where Jesus says, I and my Father are one, to claim that Jesus was God. But when we read the full context starting from verse 23, we see that Jesus was speaking about unity in purpose, not identity. He was explaining that both he and God protect the believers and guide them on the same path. This kind of unity is about mission and obedience, not about being the same being. When the Jews accused Jesus of blasphemy, saying he made himself God, Jesus rejected this claim. He reminded them that in their own scriptures, even prophets and righteous people were called “gods” in a symbolic sense. This shows that the language was figurative, not literal. Jesus never said, “I am God,” nor did he ask anyone to worship him. Throughout the Bible, Jesus prays to God, calls Him “My God,” and submits to His will. On the cross, he cried, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” This clearly shows that Jesus was a servant of God, not God Himself. A true God does not pray to another, nor ask for help. The message of Jesus was the same as all prophets before him: worship the One true God, follow His commandments, and live a righteous life. This is the same core message of Islam.
