A cold, clear dawn dawned at the Tek River camp, and with the first rays of sunlight, we warmed up to begin the second leg of our adventure to the Roraima tepui. We have 12 km of sustained climb ahead of us to reach base camp, crossing rivers and admiring the beauty of our Gran Sabana. Tonight we will spend the night at this last point and the following morning we will begin the ascent to the highest tepui in Venezuela.
