Magnanville : Conférence en intégralité du Procureur de Paris, François Molins

At a press conference, François Molins addressed the assassination of a police couple by a terrorist in Magnanville on the evening of Monday, June 13. According to the Paris Prosecutor, "during negotiations with the RAID (French National Police Intervention Group), the killer (...) specified that he had pledged allegiance three weeks earlier to the commander of the faithful of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi." François Molins added that the terrorist justified his actions by saying he was responding "to a communiqué from this emir (al-Baghdadi) which called for the killing of infidels in their homes with their families." Convicted in 2013 for participating in a network that sent volunteers to Pakistan for jihad, Larossi Abballa had since been placed under surveillance, but the wiretaps "had not, until now, revealed any evidence of preparation or an attempt at a violent attack," according to the prosecutor.
