Feature Project - Rosewood

GatherCo Feature Projects | Rosewood Bowral From the moment you arrive, this project feels deeply connected to its surroundings — layered with texture, warmth, and a quiet sense of permanence. In this feature, we step inside a collection of six Southern Highlands dwellings designed by Tegan from @,_studiojoan where heritage-inspired architecture meets a refined and highly considered material palette. From tumbled stone fireplaces to soft oak joinery and fluted glass detailing, every decision was made to create homes that feel timeless, calm, and lived-in from day one. Natural stone became a defining element throughout the development. OXLEYwalling wraps both internal and external fireplaces, creating continuity across each dwelling, while Le Mana cobblestones and KESI flooring bring depth, softness, and variation into the interiors. The layering of textures — split stone, V-groove detailing, natural timber, and tactile surfaces — gives the homes a sense of richness without feeling overstated. What makes this project particularly special is the balance between old and new. Inspired by the character of the Southern Highlands, the design embraces an aged, established feel while still delivering clean contemporary functionality. More than just a development, this is a project shaped by atmosphere — where thoughtful materiality and timeless design come together to create spaces that feel instantly like home.
