🌹 Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem 🌹 In the burning silence of Karbala, when every companion had fallen, and the tents stood empty, the King of Faith, Imam Hussain (a.s), raised a cry that still trembles through every grieving heart: "Abbas… mere Abbas kahan ho?" This marsiya carries us into Hussain's (a.s) final and loneliest hours on the plain of Bala, wandering, calling, searching for the brother who once carried his banner and his hope. One by one he remembers them: the young Ali Akbar (a.s) breathing his last with a spear in his chest… the six-month-old Ali Asghar (a.s) returned to his arms with an arrow through his tiny throat… the grieving mother waiting at the tent's door… and Bibi Zainab's (s.a) heartbreaking call, "his throat is dry, give my brother water." Every verse is a wound. Now Hussain (a.s) stands alone in the dasht-e-bala (plain of calamity), calling again and again for the brother who can no longer answer. The verses move through his unbearable grief: • Grief has blinded him , "everywhere is darkness, my breath stops." In his pain, he hears the echo of his son Ali Akbar (a.s), who fell with a spear lodged in his young chest; Hussain (a.s) holds him as he takes his last breath. • The infant Ali Asghar (a.s) is returned to his hands bleeding, an arrow through his tiny throat , and Hussain (a.s) cannot find the words to console the waiting mother. He lays the baby in a small grave, then rises and falls again, holding his shattered heart. • Finally, Hussain (a.s) walks willingly toward his own martyrdom , offering his neck on the path of truth, in submission to the will of the Creator (Khaliq ki raza). • As the blade moves, Bibi Zainab (s.a) cries out the cruellest irony of Karbala , "my brother's throat is dry, give him water" , for they were martyred while denied even a drop. • The closing image is the most piercing: amid black storms and scattered blood, a mother with loosened hair weeps over a martyr's body, still calling , "Abbas kahan ho, mere Abbas kahan ho." The repeated refrain ties every scene together: in his deepest loss, the one Hussain (a.s) calls for is the brother who never failed him, making "Abbas kahan ho" both a lament and the eternal heartbeat of Karbala.
