This year, instead of Toyama City, we tried scooping in Nyuzen, near Shingata! Toyama City gets very crowded, but a little further away, there were fewer people and we were able to scoop firefly squid at our own pace. We could have caught more, but we caught enough for two people, so we were very satisfied!
