Así era la dura realidad tras el fin de la esclavitud en Cartagena (Reconstrucción por IA)
Did you know that the day after the abolition of slavery in Cartagena, thousands of families were expelled from the plantations without land, money, or any government support? On May 21, 1851, Colombia signed the General Manumission Law. But no one prepared the world that was to receive these freed people. Today, we use artificial intelligence to reconstruct the harsh reality experienced by the freed people in Cartagena de Indias: the expulsion from the plantations of Greater Bolívar, the overcrowding in Getsemaní, the institutional racism that replaced chains, the resistance of San Basilio de Palenque—the first free town in the Americas—and the silent legacy that still divides Cartagena into two cities that refuse to look each other in the eye. ⚠️ Although we use the most advanced technology to reconstruct the past, some images are artistic interpretations based on historical documents and may not be 100% accurate. The atmosphere, however, is as faithful as possible to the reality of 1810. #cartagena #reconstruction #cartagenacolombia #history #colombianhistory #slavery
