Characterizing Common Mode Chokes using the NanoVNA
This is a video showing the characterization of the impedance across frequencies from 3.0 to 30.0 MHz using a nanoVNA (H4). The freely available nanoVNASaver software is also used to graph the impedance profiles. The technique used and the threshold of -25dB for good common mode current rejection comes from Mark Smith's (N6MTS) presentation on QSO Today 2021Virtual Ham Expo.
