'Education System Needs To Be Completely Fixed': Rajesh Mall Speaks After Pradhan's Resignation

In an interview, Kargil war veteran Rajesh Mall discussed the suicide of his 23-year-old daughter, Riya Kumari, who was a NEET aspirant and died on June 16, 2026. Following the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Mall expressed satisfaction, stating, "जी ma'am मैं आज खुश हूँ," and remarked that taking earlier responsibility might have prevented such tragedies. Regarding compensation for affected families, Mall stated that money cannot bring his daughter back, though financial aid should be provided to families in need. He stressed the necessity for structural reforms in the education system to stop recurring paper leaks and lower stress for students. Mal shared that his daughter worked hard, scoring over 97 percent in Class 12, but suffered extreme stress due to paper leaks and re-examination uncertainty, specifically criticizing the National Testing Agency (NTA).
