Public transport can be a hassle in the city of Lagos but what makes it really exhausting is getting direction while in transit. People unconsciously seek for a presumed approachable and knowledgeable face when asking for directions. The problem with this method is that it does not always end up well. Technology is fast eliminating this challenge by providing safer, faster and more reliable means of getting directions. Lara is an automated transportation directions assistant which gives public transporters directions through an interactive interface. Sam Odeloye, the CEO/ co-founder of Lara transport bot, shares his journey on the birth of Lara, it's challenges and the future that lies ahead. Sam is a graduate of Stanford’s Centre for Professional Development and Stanford Graduate School of Business in — “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. He has a core background in Mechanical Engineering, from The University of Lagos. and a former Drilling & Logistics Engineer.An execution-focused, in-tune and assertive leader, with over 10 years of experience in various entrepreneurial disciplines. His personal intersection and passion lies between- Technology and Humanity. He has core strengths in; Design Thinking , Problem Solving, Arts and Storytelling. Sam is currently the CEO of Road Preppers Technologies ( RP for short) — a company focussed on helping people living in fragmented public transit cities; Plan- commute- connect better on their trips.
