Julie Grezes, (DR INSERM), leads the social cognition team at the Laboratory of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience (INSERM U960) in the Department of Cognitive Studies at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. Motivated by the idea that the human brain is a "social brain," enabling humans to communicate and collaborate with many other individuals and manage complex relationships, her research aims to better understand the neural mechanisms underlying our ability to understand and respond to non-verbal social cues (gestures, postures, and emotions) emitted by others.
