MERLIN @ Southern TiPsy 2026 | Sunrise Journey

On the 22nd of February 2026, I had the privilege of playing one of the most memorable sets of my journey so far at Southern TiPsy in Cape Town, South Africa. As the sun slowly rose above the dancefloor and the first rays of light began breaking through the trees, I found myself surrounded by smiling faces, fresh energy, and a community that continues to inspire me year after year. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Morning dancers emerged from their tents, friends were woken by the sound system, and together we welcomed a new day. This set features a significant amount of my own music, including tracks from my latest EP, several unreleased productions, and music mastered by the wonderful team at Fractal Baby Records alongside some of my own mastering work. Southern TiPsy 2026 felt truly special. The production, atmosphere, artists, crew, and dancefloor energy all came together in a way that reminded me why this culture continues to mean so much to so many of us. The lineup flowed beautifully between fresh talent and the legendary characters who helped build the Cape Town psychedelic community into what it is today. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this gathering what it was. Special thanks to the team at The Shed Studio in Plumstead, Cape Town, who filmed this set. This project began as a collaborative practice run while exploring the possibility of creating artist-focused live recording packages, and it turned into something I'm incredibly grateful to be able to share. And yes... apologies for the unexpectedly long wait for this video 😄. Good things take time, and patience remains one of the most valuable practices we can all cultivate. Since this performance, I have relocated my base to Europe for the next chapter of my journey. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge, creative horizons, professional network, and personal growth through new experiences and collaborations. One of the highlights of this transition has been completing a music production course in Italy hosted by the legendary Parvati crew and the Arcanum Collective team. It was an honour to learn alongside such inspiring artists and individuals.
