Economic seminar: Entrepreneurship grows in Luxembourg as AI provokes both optimism and fear

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), entrepreneurial intentions and early-stage activity continue to grow in 2024, confirming the post-pandemic recovery. However, growth expectations are weak, pointing to concerns about the economic outlook. This year, GEM also focuses on the relationship between entrepreneurs and artificial intelligence (AI) and on cross-border entrepreneurship. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) initiative is an international research program focused on entrepreneurship launched in 1999. Since 2013, STATEC, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Economy and the Chamber of Commerce, has been conducting a specific survey to document the intensity and evolution of entrepreneurship activities, the profiles of entrepreneurs, and the challenges they face.
