The Netherlands has been on our photography bucket list for years and Kinderdijk was the perfect location to capture some authentic windmills and we have to say it absolutely lived up to the dream. We arrived before sunrise to experience the windmills in complete silence — mist rising off the canals, still reflections, soft golden light and barely another soul around. This is our favourite way to travel: slow, early, and focused on capturing beautiful moments before the crowds arrive. In this vlog we explore Kinderdijk by foot and by bike. We wander the paths between the historic windmills, and soak up one of the most peaceful and photogenic locations in the Netherlands.
