Bethesda Head of PR Needs To Rethink His Approach (Pete Hines)
This IS NOT about Fallout 76 or how Bethesda Game Studios have been doing recently. This is about the Video Game Publisher, Bethesda Softworks and how they've been doing at Marketing and Public Relations such as Social Media and Community Management. I'll first spend some time talking about the state of Gaming Press, which some people confuse with actual Journalism, it's origin as Enthusiast Magazines, and how that translates into the relationship Pete Hines has with the Games Press industry in the past and how he basically got blindsided by a changing online space with social pressures he I personally suspect isn't prepared to deal with in a healthy way. And Yes, Bethesda Game Studios retroactively turned him into a liar, that's great too.
