The Jive is a stationary dance performed to music in 4/4 time, with the emphasis usually on the 2 and 4 beats. Typical of rock 'n' roll music, for example. The speed range is relatively wide, ranging from 32 to 48 beats per minute (bpm) - although above 40 beats per minute it already feels too fast ;). In the video, we dance to 36 beats per minute.
