Hello everyone, Last time, we started setting up a MARINE AQUARIUM. This time, we'll take a closer look at which animals to add and when 🤔 A word of caution for coral enthusiasts: Combining hard and soft corals isn't always easy. They thrive much better in aquariums than in their natural habitat (no storms, stable water parameters, no predators...). To address this issue, you can isolate the soft corals on an "island" surrounded by sand to better control their growth and maintain a dedicated space for the hard corals 😉 Otherwise, here are some of the names of detritivores, invertebrates, and fish seen in this video: Porcelain crabs (Neopetrolisthes oshimai), Superb brittle star (Ophiolepis superba), Soft coral tree (Capnella), Speckled woodcockfish (Oxycirrhites typus), Kaudern's cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni), Small coral goby (Gobiodon okinawae), Juvenile emperor angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator), Juvenile yellow boxfish (Ostracion cubicus), Midas's blenny (Ecsenius midas), Heniochus acuminatus, Mandarin fish (Synchiropus splendidus), Spiny-cheeked clownfish (Amphiprion biaculeatus), Nemateleotris decora, White-cheeked surgeonfish (Acanthurus japonicus), Strawberry-vanilla fish (Pictichromis paccagnella), Three-banded damselfish (Dascyllus aruanus), Peach anthias or Barber anthias (Pseudanthias dispar), Rainbow wrasse (Halichoeres marginatus), Yellow-bellied blue damselfish (Chrysiptera hemicyana), Three-banded clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)... I hope that, like me, you have learned a lot about setting up and running a marine aquarium. If you want to see how my baccalaureate is progressing, I invite you to follow me on Instagram.
